Q&A with Local Troy Credit Union: InTouch CU

intouch credit union Are you thinking about joining a local Troy credit union? Troy Banking Rates interviewed InTouch Credit Union about the products and services they offer members, and the benefits of joining:

Troy Banking Rates: In your opinion, what sets you apart from other local banks/credit unions?

InTouch CU: Great customer service and convenience are two, often over-used and under-sold terms used to differentiate one financial institution from another. However, at InTouch Credit Union we can prove that’s true just as soon as you walk into one of our branches.

Personal Financial Assistants greet you as you walk in the door. These PFAs are trained to help members with all of their needs without having to transfer or refer them to another employee or department. Need to open a new account? Our PFAs can do that. Need information or want to apply for a loan? They can do that, too.

We mean it when we say, “We are committed to ‘creating a caring, trusted financial community through an exceptional personalized service experience’ dedicated to working for you and your financial well-being!”

Troy Banking Rates: Do you offer your customers /members’ online banking/support? What are some of these services?

InTouch CU: InTouch Credit Union offers many “e” or “online” services to their members. In addition to online home banking and bill pay services, ITCU also offers mobile banking for members who want or need access to their accounts on the go.

Both home banking and mobile banking services provide access to accounts, funds transfer and bill payment options. Both provide alerts to keep you on top of changing balances–both expected and unexpected. In addition, our online home banking service provides ZashPay, a new person-to-person (P2P) payment app which allows a member to send money to others–even if they don’t bank with InTouch!

Another new feature of our online banking is InCompass, a self-help personal financial management (PFM) tool that provides budgeting and goal-setting help. ZashPay, InCompass, and mobile banking are expected to be available as mobile apps in late 2012.

Troy Banking Rates: What kind of community program does your institution participate in? In what capacity are you involved in this program?

InTouch CU: InTouch Credit supports multiple community/charitable organizations through our relationships with HP, the Texas Legends D-League basketball team, Frisco Roughrider’s minor league baseball team and the Plano Balloon Festival in TX, and the Northern Virginia Community Foundation in VA, just to name just a few.

ITCU supports these organizations via sponsorships and/or with staff volunteers. InTouch employees volunteer their time to teach financial literacy to many elementary, middle and high schools within the communities it has branches. In addition, ITCU supports and encourages its employees to actively support a qualified non-profit organization of their choice with up to 16 hours of paid time-off.
